Kristin Miller, LPC Associate

I am dedicated to helping people find clarity, healing, and personal growth through therapy that is tailored to their unique needs and goals. I work with children, teens, and adults, using a client-centered approach built on empathy, trust, and collaboration. Depending on what will be most helpful, I incorporate evidence-based practices such as Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients gain insight, develop practical coping tools, and take meaningful steps toward positive change.

When working with children, I focus on child-centered interventions and use play therapy to create a safe, expressive space where they can process their feelings and experiences. I believe in meeting children where they are developmentally and honoring their natural way of communicating through play. Before becoming a counselor, I spent six years as a foster care case worker, supporting children and foster families through a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges.

I also have extensive experience working with adults in the LGBTQ+ community. I strive to provide an affirming, inclusive space where clients can explore identity, strengthen relationships, and work through challenges such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. My approach is grounded in respect and understanding, and I value the opportunity to walk alongside clients as they navigate life's complexities and embrace their strengths.

In addition, I have a strong interest in supporting veterans and first responders, helping them work through trauma, stress, and major life transitions with compassion and care.

Whether you or your child are facing anxiety, behavioral concerns, trauma, or other life challenges, I am here to support you with understanding, proven strategies, and a genuine commitment to your well-being.
